How to Reset Your WebAdvisor Account

Do you need to reset your WebAdvisor account?

How to Reset your WebAdvisor:

1.     If you are a current or former student, forgot your password and have access to your JSCC email account or your personal email account:

2.     Select:  Students should be on the WebAdvisor “main menu” page

3.     Click on reset my password

4.     Type in your last name

5.     Type in your Student ID # in Colleague ID or Type in your Social Security Number

6.     Click on Submit

7.     Click on the drop-down box

8.     Select your email address that ends with xxx@mail.jamessprunt.edu

9.     Click on Submit or you can select your personal email in drop-down box

10. Click on OK

JSCC Home screen, log into your student email

1.     Click on your Student Email

2.     Enter or Select your email address that ends with xxx@mail.jamessprunt.edu

Sign into your James Sprunt Google Account

3.     Be sure to put  first initial, middle initial, and last name plus last 3 digits of Student ID (jmsmith123@mail.jamessprunt.edu)

4.     Click on Next

5.     Key in password

6.     Click on next

Open email from Student Services

7.     Open email from student services (Web Advisor Response) or

8.     Retain Temporary Password from Web Advisor Response

9.     Move cursor of mouse over the middle of TEMPORARY password

10.  Double-click left mouse to highlight temporary password

(Cont.) Retain Temporary Password from Web Advisor Response

11.  Double-click right mouse and click on “Copy” to retain temporary password

12.  Then, return to your Web Advisor

Return to Web Advisor

13. Select whether you are a:

14. Current Student or Prospective Student

15. Then, return to your Web Advisor

Select “Change My Password” for Current or Prospective Students

16. Select “Change My Password”

Change Password for either Current or Prospective Students

17. Input “User ID” (jmsmith123)

18. Right click “Old Password”, Select “Paste”

Insert Old Password for either Current or Prospective Students

19. Left click and “Paste” Old Password (*********) or

20. “Insert” Old Password

21.  *Be sure not to include the period in Old Password*

Insert New Password for either Current or Prospective Students

22. Left click “New Password”. Select “at least” 6 and “no more than” 9 characters in length which contains both letters and numbers

23. Repeat same steps above in “Confirm Password”.  Be sure passwords are identical.

24. Input a “Password Hint”.  This is optional or not required.

25. Click on “Submit”

Insert “Password Hint” for either Current or Prospective Students

26. Input a “Password Hint”.  This is optional.

27. Click on “Submit”

Welcome to Web Advisor

28. Once you Submit your information:

29. Web Advisor will “Welcome (your name)”

30. Then, you can continue to the “Main Menu”
