What is the Ambassadors Program? The Ambassadors Program at James Sprunt Community College is an opportunity to learn leadership skills, to develop networking skills, to become an active participant in college activities, and to enjoy the satisfaction ofserving others. Their duties include: * Conducting campus tours for visitors and prospective students * Serving at official James Sprunt Community College and James Sprunt Community College Foundation events * Visiting area high schoolsfor recruiting purposes * Participating in fund-raising activities * Assisting during registration and orientation events Who is Eligible to Participate? Students are selected through an application and interviewing process conducted by the JSCC Scholarship Committee. Applicants' qualifications should include: * Maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher * Sustaining good standing in the community and institution * Being a full-time student * Committing to complete the academic year ofscholarship award * Committing to complete the required 10 service hours per semester (as appropriate) What are the Benefits? While providing an invaluable service to the College and Foundation, this program also furnishes educational benefitsfor the participants. The benefits include: * $250 scholarship each semester * Ambassador apparel
