“Transportation has been a barrier for many of our students,” said Brian Jones, associate vice president of student services. “We are trying to remove as many of the barriers as we can so that students can reach their academic goals.”
“We recently heard about a student who was walking to James Sprunt from Warsaw, it was a 10-mile walk, one way,” said Dr. Lawrence Rouse, president of James Sprunt Community College. “That is also why we know this service will be a great asset to our students who do not have access to transportation.”
There will be 8 pick-up/drop off sights at locations throughout Duplin County.
