JSCC PARTNERS WITH LA GRANDE, NC TO CELEBRATE FAFSA FIESTA NEXT WEEK
KENANSVILLE, NC, Tuesday, July 11th, 2024: On Thursday, July 18th, from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., James Sprunt Community College and the College Foundation of North Carolina will partner with a local Hispanic radio station, La Grande, NC, to promote Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Completing the FAFSA is required to receive financial aid and many different scholarships. For students who are intimidated by the FAFSA, need help completing one, or need access to the technology to complete the process, JSCC is here to help! Completing a FAFSA provides students with opportunities, and JSCC is eager to provide students with a clear path to success.
La Grande, NC, will sponsor the FAFSA Fiesta on JSCC’s campus. This free event will connect students to resources and information on college payment. Students can enjoy music, food, and motivational speakers while learning about filling out the FAFSA. Students will also be able to learn more about how they can pay for college and fill out the FAFSA on-site!
Participating students will have opportunities to receive free food and various prizes. La Grande, NC, the event sponsor, has received donations from local businesses to help make this event possible.
To benefit from the resources at this event, the following will be required:
- US Citizen or Eligible Non-US Citizen
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be enrolled or accepted in an eligible degree or certificate program
- Social Security number for the student or the student’s parents/guardians
- 2022 tax returns, W-2, or other proof of income
- Valid email for student, parents, or guardians
