JAMES SPRUNT COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOSTS ANNUAL DUPLIN COUNTY JOB FAIR

April 26, 2026

CONNECTING JOB SEEKERS AND EMPLOYERS TO STRENGTHEN DUPLIN COUNTY’S WORKFORCE

James Sprunt Community College (JSCC), in partnership with NCWorks, hosted its annual Duplin County Job Fair on Wednesday, April 29. Originally planned as a rain-or-shine outdoor event, the job fair was moved inside the Boyette Building due to projected inclement weather. The change in location did not impact turnout, as students and community members filled the campus library and surrounding rooms to connect with employers and explore career opportunities.

Karla Blanton, Director of Career Services at JSCC, coordinated the event and emphasized its impact. “With more than 200 attendees and over 40 employers represented, this event truly showcased the strength of collaboration and our shared commitment to workforce development in Duplin County,” Blanton said.

Events like this demonstrate the power of partnership and the opportunities it creates for our workforce,” Hair said.
