LATE START AND HOLIDAY BRIDGE COURSES OFFER STUDENTS ADVANTAGES IN THEIR EDUCATIONAL ENDEAVORS
Each year, James Sprunt Community College offers a variety of classes that will start later than the traditional semester start date to meet students’ needs. Students who have missed the traditional deadline for enrolling in classes, would like to take a specific class in an accelerated format, or would like to get ahead during their scheduled University breaks, can take advantage of the 12, 8, and 5-week options.
The classes offered in this format are transferable courses students could take while attending a university or hoping to transfer the credits to a state-approved university. As with all JSCC initiatives, this opportunity aims to provide students with the quickest and most affordable route toward achieving their educational goals.
Dr. Shakeena White, Associate Vice President of Student Services/ Deputy Title IX Coordinator, works to provide a variety of resources for JSCC students. She states, “JSCC offers a wide selection of late-start classes. Whether you want to add a class or get started, these online classes provide an excellent opportunity to earn college credits with little or no cost.”
