KENANSVILLE, NC, Wednesday, September 4, 2024: SmartAsset recently ranked James Sprunt Community College #11 as the Best Community College in the US. This recognition is based on our strong performance in key areas such as full-time retention rate, student-to-faculty ratio, and in-state tuition and fees.
JSCC has much to celebrate! 616 schools were included in this national assessment, with Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, WI taking #1 with a retention rate of 81%. JSCC has a 75% retention rate, which makes us close behind! Additionally, nine out of the top fifteen schools on the list are located in North Carolina. In other words, JSCC is running in the pack and is part of an outstanding Community College System!
