JAMES SPRUNT COMMUNITY COLLEGE HOSTS JOB FAIR ON CAMPUS

JSCC PARTNERS WITH NCWORKS TO HOST A JOB FAIR WITH 44 EMPLOYERS

Under the direction of Director of Career Services Karla Blanton of James Sprunt Community College, JSCC held its fourth successful Job Fair in partnership with NC Works. The Duplin County Job Fair, held on April 17th, was open to the public as well as JSCC students. This year’s Job Fair was held in the center of campus, lining the courtyard. Excitement and possibility filled the air as employers and job seekers alike surrounded the campus.

The recent Job Fair was a tremendous success, with 44 employees and over 200 attendees!

Blanton said, “The annual job fair showcases the exciting opportunities that local and surrounding employers have to offer and uncovers dedicated talent looking for work in the community. I spoke with one individual who walked from Warsaw to speak with the House of Raeford, and they arrived early! These stories are the ones that give you excitement and encouragement that events like the job fair are vital to workforce development in our community!”
