SPRING 2025 ENROLLMENT HITS NEW HEIGHTS
James Sprunt Community College (JSCC) is thrilled to announce a record-breaking enrollment increase for the Spring 2025 semester. With over a 10% rise in enrollment compared to Spring 2024, JSCC continues to make strides in its mission to provide accessible, high-quality education to the community.
This success stems from a combination of innovative efforts designed to simplify the registration and financial aid processes. These initiatives included offering a wide array of scholarships, hosting pop-up recruitment events across the community, and holding Walk-In Registration sessions at the Strickland Student Center on the Kenansville campus.
Dr. Shakeena White, Vice President of Student Services, shared her enthusiasm, stating:
“James Sprunt Community College is always excited to welcome students back to campus! Walk-in Registration provides a fantastic opportunity for students to finalize their semester plans. While classes began on Monday, January 6, prospective students still have time to secure their spots. We encourage anyone interested to visit campus or call 910-275-6330 for personalized enrollment assistance.”
Despite a town-wide power outage on the final day of Walk-In Registration, the dedicated JSCC faculty and staff quickly adapted to ensure students had uninterrupted access to enrollment support. The College extended registration for three full days, with team members on hand to assist students every step of the way.
For those who may have missed the start of the semester, JSCC offers several late-start courses beginning in February and March, providing flexible opportunities for students to begin their journey as Spartans in 2025.
James Sprunt Community College looks forward to continuing its commitment to helping students Join Our Family. Build Your Future. The year ahead is already off to an incredible start, and the College is excited to welcome even more students to its vibrant campus community.
