Discover the basics of cake decorating in this fun, hands-on course designed for beginners. Participants will learn fundamental decorating techniques, including proper icing application, basic piping skills, borders, lettering, simple flowers, and cake finishing methods. Students will gain experience using essential decorating tools and techniques while creating attractive cakes for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. No prior experience is required. By the end of the course, participants will have the confidence and skills needed to decorate cakes with creativity and style.
General Supplies needed: cake spatulas large & small (offset & straight.) Piping bags, couplers, turntable, flower nails large & small, cake combs, cake boards, gel food coloring, toothpicks, kitchen towels, paper towels, baby wipes, bowls, spoons, rubber spatulas, parchment paper, cling wrap. Students will also have to provide Wilton tips for cake decorating. Supply list for tips needed will be given in class.
