Throughout November, the WestPark Crew came together to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a global outreach program sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse.
This heartfelt activity, coordinated by Star Jackson, gave team members the opportunity to voluntarily donate items for children in need around the world. ❤

The College Transfer Tour allows students to meet with representatives from various colleges and universities, receive information regarding scholarships, admission fee waivers, learning communities, and compare academic programs available. On Tuesday, JSCC utilized the Fall Outreach Grant from NCEast Alliance to hold a Hydroponics Workshop as a professional development opportunity for Duplin County educators eager to bring hydroponic farming into their classrooms and programs! 🌱👩🏫 From elementary to high school teachers and across various disciplines—Science, Agriculture, CTE, Computer Science, and more—the workshop fostered collaboration and innovation in education.

Dr. Jennifer Bradley and her University of Mount Olive AGE 340- Greenhouse and Nursery Management class was able to come out and get some hands-on experience with JSCC’s Hydroponic Smart Farm. Dr. Bradley and her students were able to complete all the stages, (seeding, transplanting, and harvesting) of hydroponic farming!
