The five-year strategic planning process allows James Sprunt Community College to reflect on its current mission, examine data and feedback, and define specific strategies to ensure the College is always providing the necessary programs, resources, and supportive services for Duplin County.
The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a document developed by the College that (1) includes a process identifying key issues emerging from institutional assessment, (2) focuses on learning outcomes and/or the environment supporting student learning and accomplishing the mission of the institution, (3) demonstrates institutional capability for the initiation, implementation, and completion of the QEP, (4) includes broad-based involvement of institutional constituencies in the development and proposed implementation of the QEP, and (5) identifies goals and a plan to assess their achievement.

The Performance Measures for Student Success Report is the North Carolina Community College System’s major accountability document. This annual performance report is based on data compiled during the previous year and serves to inform colleges and the public about the performance of our 58 community colleges.
Measures included:
IPEDS is a system of 12 interrelated survey components conducted annually that gathers data from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs. Data collection occurs in the fall, winter, and spring. IPEDS is the key student completion indicator for the College.
