🎓 Graduate Spotlight: Brianna Martindale, Early Childhood Education

Brianna Martindale began her journey at JSCC after hearing amazing things about the college, and once she moved to Wallace, she knew it was exactly where she was meant to be. Becoming a mother at 17 only strengthened her determination to continue her education. Although life led her down a different path for a time, she proudly returned to complete her degree and walk the stage with her class.

As a full-time Housing Authority Director, wife, and mother, Brianna has balanced many responsibilities along the way. At 23, she welcomed her son, and when he was diagnosed with profound autism at the age of two, it ignited an even deeper passion within her. That experience inspired her future goal of opening a childcare center that specializes in supporting children with neurodivergent disorders.

Brianna credits her husband, parents, and children as her biggest supporters throughout this journey. She also found meaningful friendships along the way, connecting with classmates who became lifelong friends beyond the classroom.

Her time at JSCC has been a truly rewarding experience, one that has pushed her to grow, stay resilient, and continue striving for a better future. 💙

Ruth Webb’s journey is a powerful example of perseverance and purpose. 💙

After making the decision to return to school, Ruth stayed committed and pushed through the challenges of not giving up. Along the way, she found inspiration through TRIO, where she experienced new opportunities, traveled, and explored different colleges.

With the support of incredible mentors who guided and encouraged her, Ruth built a strong foundation for her future. Now, she’s continuing her passion for working with children as a 2-year-old teacher at Tailored Learning Center.
