LOCAL PARTNERSHIP EMPOWERS STUDENTS TO ACHIEVE THEIR EDUCATIONAL GOALS

Specifically, JSCC received five $500 scholarships to divide between the Fall and Spring semesters ($250 per semester). These scholarships will support students pursuing their educational goals at JSCC. This scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student enrolled or planning to enroll in a curriculum program at James Sprunt Community College. Eligible students must reside within Four County EMC’s service area and be members of the co-op or live in a home served by Four County electricity.

Taylor Sandlin, Director of the James Sprunt Community College Foundation, values partnerships with local businesses and industry. Sandlin shared,
“Thanks to Four County EMC’s commitment to education, more students are able to pursue their goals through scholarship support. Their investment is truly making a lasting impact on student success.”

Dr. Shannon Hair, James Sprunt Community College President, expressed his appreciation for Four County EMC’s continued support, stating,
“This scholarship investment made by Four County Electric Membership Corporation is a testament to their commitment to the success of our students enrolled at James Sprunt Community College.”

JSCC is thankful for the many partnerships it holds with the community it serves. The college remains grateful for businesses and organizations that share the community college philosophy, to meet students where they are, and take them as far as they want to go.
